You can use our extender kit when you require extra long ballpoint pen refills. Our variable-length extender will allow you to take a regular ballpoint pen refill and adjust the exact length that you need to make it work in your pen. The ballpoint pen refill extender will work with CLICK pens and NON-CLICK pens, X10 and X20 style refills.
(IT WILL NOT WORK WITH TWIST PENS or MULTI-FUNCTION PENS!!!)

Our External Connector System is Superior to the Internal Barbed Tube Fitting Method
The outer diameter of most pen tubes is approx 3mm but the INNER diameter can vary quite a bit. This is why our connector, which snugly fits the OUTSIDE of the refill tube will consistently work better than an internal barbed tube fitting method. We considered the latter approach but decided against it because of the inconsistencies among pen refill manufacturers. This means in some cases it would be snug but in some cases, it would not take hold at all.
We actually did quite a bit of research to test out many different diameters and durometers (stiffnesses) of tubing for the connector component. Unfortunately there was no “standard” tubing that would work so we have our connectors specially-manufactured to our specifications.

Detailed Instructions for use
Our variable-length extender kit will allow you to take a regular ballpoint pen refill and adjust the exact length that you need to make it work in your pen. Just attach the connector tube (thicker piece) to the top of the refill. Then attach the extender tube. Do your best to have the refill and the extender tubes inserted about equally and press towards each other so that they touch. Then match to original refill and snip to correct size with a scissors. If you cut it too long, the click mechanism of the pen will not work. If you cut it too short, the tip of the pen will not protrude very far. If you purchase the “kit” that includes the refill, it comes with a spring. If your particular pen does not require a spring, just pull the spring off.
